Example: Mary was born 7 May 1982 at 11 hours
17 minutes AM, New Berlin, New York, USA. The longitude is 75 degrees, 20 minutes
west of Greenwich. And the latitude is 42 degrees 37 minutes North of the equator.
Having calculated the sidereal time and other factors previously, we can go on to calculate the house cusps for the Placidean system. All we need to calculate are four cusps, because we have already calculated the Ascendant and the MC and the other cusps are opposite these ones. We can proceed as with the ascendant and we can use the same factors as before. The factor for latitude is 0.6167 and the factor for time is 0.0542.. My results are as follows:
The cusps 5,6,8 and 9 are obtained by reversing the sign on the other cusps. The results are accurate to an arcminute.
