PrefaceThis is a visionary book on love and how it can manifest in personal relationships and marriage. It opens a vista onto possibilities and potentials for love; but most importantly, it offers a 'quality' of love that most of us need, want and dream of, a pure love that will touch our souls. The Marriage of Souls develops a type of love that comes from the depths of our hearts and leads to a lightness of being that can be shared with others. A kind of love that leads to a day to day communion with each other on the deepest levels of authenticity, vulnerability and being. The Marriage of Souls is a new spirit in the world offering an encounter with love unlike any we have experienced before. As such this book is for people who want to experience the intense feelings of love that reside imbedded in the deepest halls of their inner most hearts.
deserve pure love, live on pure love. The Marriage of Souls is about pure being sharing pure love. The pure light of pure being, perfectly vulnerable, perfectly feeling, perfectly real. We humans tend to get easily frustrated with human love, so imperfect we and our partners 'seem' to be, that we often lust for divine images of love made manifest in human form. Many find it easier to love Christ, Buddha, the Virgin Mary, Krishna, and the various gurus and avatars that come and go. We would rather invent and elevate such being up into the heights of divinity instead of seeing that they themselves were or are human like us. In reality, by deifying beings, we take away their humanity, and in fact affect an escape from responsibility by making ourselves dependent, compliant, and conforming. We elect to worship 'images' of these beings even though for thousands of years the wisdom has been on the planet that says to not make images of divinity. Instead of meditating on how a man like Christ might have manifested his love in human ways to those closest to him, to being like the Magdalene who were open to receive the fullness of his love, we make images of his divinity that can be both false and misleading and impossible to attain ourselves. In the east enlightenment is the quest and many beings come feeling the need to stand way out in front of the herd. They fall for the great temptation of being treated as someone special thus succumbing to the euphoric feelings of celebrity and adulation. They offer us the opportunity to love 'them' unconditionally but not each other. In fact, people who devote themselves in such a way have a harder time listening to others for they often compare everything others say to what their master or guiding light has said before; and anything that 'cuts' into our capacity to listen diminishes our capacity for love. Since listening itself is the doorway to the heart we might begin to be able to appreciate how much religion and spirituality have led mankind down the path away from the deep love we can find for each other.
to be worshiped, only loved. Through these false identifications we are led on wild goose chases trying to be or reach for something we are not. The Christian is trying to become like Jesus, the Buddhist like Buddha and in the process we forget about being our own real self. Within each and every one of us is our true heart nature, the most honest and sincere self that is both vulnerable and beautiful. Existence does not want to repeat itself nor does it make carbon copies of beings. The worship of others creates a syndrome that is detrimental to both our own and the worshiped one's humanity for they create illusionary visions of perfection much like romantic lovers do. Religions and people who make it look like there is a perfect savior or avatar, who alone is capable of the reaching the heights of heaven, create obstacles to our growth and evolution and to our relationships with other beings. They create separations, which result from projecting judgmental differences 'between' being. This sets the stage for people to get stuck in personality cults that worships higher beings instead of the pure being that lies within, and within those who are most near and dear to us. And it creates animosity between people for people who follow such beings and religions unconsciously judge others for not believing and following what they themselves do. It too often creates self-righteousness that is simply spiritualized arrogance, the virtual enemy of true and pure love. The Marriage of Souls is the Second Coming of Pure Love we can find for each other and for the children. It takes us past present egotistical ways of relating to each other and past all these spiritual personality cults and offers us deep ways of connecting to others from the heart. HeartHealth opened the doorway to our own hearts and to a deep appreciation of our feeling and caring nature. It created a pathway that leads t self love through the valorization of feelings and this shows us the way back toward the vulnerability of being a being. The Marriage of Souls takes the next step and shows us how we can share our hearts with others in a way that leads to a deep love between 'equal' souls for there is no higher and no lower in the universe of true being. There is no looking back or down from the space of the pure heart. No height to which we climb and no station or permanent destination to which we arrive. This is a pathway that cultivates the pure essence of our beings and develops what we call 'heart power' or what Gandhi called "soul force" - revealing the heart in all its glory.
That pure love makes our relationships perfect even if we, as individuals, are not. Though we might still be imperfect, having not dealt fully with what Carl Jung called our shadow side, this pathway to love and sharing between beings opens up the possibility and increases the probability that we will experience the pure love that we both want and need. Actually some can see that our real self is perfect already, or just waiting to be discovered. We all inherit the full light of pure consciousness and this light flows through us all eternally; it's not something that needs to be achieved for it is already there. Similarly there is a pure love in our hearts that we can share with others, it exists, it is a latent potential in all hearts and souls. Yet we must admit that:
We do everything to avoid what we all secretly want. We fear everything about love, never looking, never reaching for sunlight, and living in a shadow where love has no form. In a world that hardly believes in love any more The Marriage of Souls comes and provides practical answers that addresses the nitty-gritty aspects of our humanity and the vast complexities of human relationships. It delves deeply into the hidden dynamics of intimate relationships and confronts the most important issues we find when facing other souls who are also looking for love, tenderness, trust, honesty, commitment, compassion and affection. It is the achievement of deep levels of emotional and social intelligence and offers a heightened sense of attunement between being that share and care in the beautiful light of mutual empathy. This work is for people who want to find a profound synchronicity of being which leads to a palpable sense of deep rapport; that feeling of belonging together in the same universe. It represents the call of the heart which by its very nature pushes all organisms into harmony, into unitive shared states of being, places of shared meaning and strong deep heart bonds that last.
into the vibration of the heart. Though universal and directed toward our race consciousness this work arises within the context of our western Judo-Christian traditions and history. The subtitle is not by chance. It strikes to the root of a passion that is always awaiting fulfillment. Many are waiting for the actual return of Christ; others think he is already here. And others worship the current supreme enlightened being who claims to be God, fulfilling this hole and deep need in human consciousness for such a return and such a presence on earth. And the religious Jews are still waiting on their Messiah. The Marriage of Souls offers a true Second Coming, but not a coming of a specific being or personality who steps up on center stage to grab our attention and devotion. The pure love that is the Second Coming needs to flow through our own hearts and eventually through the collective heart of humanity. There have been many noble souls who have come to remind us that we are divine beings and sons and daughters of God or the Goddess. The Marriage of Souls, together with HeartHealth, are about finding our own divinity and sharing our highest aspect of self, our love light, beauty, intelligence and power with others who want to do the same. It is we who must reach for and become divine and this will not be realized or made manifest until we find this love for each other. And of course this is not easy at all. It is always easier to worship a divine being then to become one.
expanded our hearts to unimagined new levels of love. My name is Mark Sircus and I am the all so human being whose privilege, pain and burden has been to manifest this work in his heart and soul. These last 25 years I have wondered the human wilderness of both my own inner being and the wilderness of society, and even lately through our newly formed virtual landscapes. My personal journey started with a promise that ignited both my passion and my ego. It started with the words, "and even greater things 'you' shall do." Through most of this time I have forgotten these words, I have run into them again and again as a destiny looping back into my life. Now all these years later I see the truth and clear meaning of these words. The you is not you or me it is "we." We shall do greater things for we are going to discover a pathway that leads to an extremely heightened sense of individuality that can share itself in complete union with others. In The Marriage of Souls oneness and individuality find themselves under the same roof, in the same house, inside the nuclear furnace that burns deep in the center of all our hearts and souls. We are going to move onto the quantum level of our beings and find that our individuality actually is accentuated as we move into deeper union and communion with others.
who touch through the 'Oneness of Being.' When we enter this space the angels sing their songs and we are rejuvenated into perpetual youth. For me it has been an arduous journey and the vistas of love you will find in these pages came gradually and through the trials of many painful and challenging experiences. Sometimes my vision and heart intuition would flash well past my actual life manifestation and then my own words would humiliate me but I learned to live harmoniously with my own imperfections and to work on them by bringing awareness to them. It is clear to me that perfection is an honorable destiny that ever recedes off into the horizon but pure love is something we can begin to manifest and realize now if we can only accept the true vulnerability of the heart. The Heart is the Vulnerability of Being, and those who discover their own vulnerability, and learn how to share that with others, will find a love worthy of their greatest dreams. Many people have trouble when I use words like perfection and pure so I would just like to say that I feel that perfection can be experienced even when looking at and dealing with our imperfections. Certainly in meditation we can realize the light of pure consciousness and those who love and walk in nature see perfection all around them. Perfection turns to imperfection when we separate from perfection and unfortunately this is something our minds do all the time. In essence my words are meant to inspire people and my deepest wish is that they will quicken hearts, souls and being by providing a renewed hope and faith in a vision of love for humanity. We came into this life looking for pure love and the Second Coming is its return. (Authors note: Three years later I am writing about very difficult subjects, Pharmaceutical Terrorism and The Medical Insanity of Vaccines, and in this work I am facing so much darkness on earth its incredible. I say this for visions of love are really necessary in times of great darkness and insanity.) Perhaps another perspective on this entire business of a Second Coming is to see that Christ himself came at a time when the religious traditions of his time had lost touch with life and with love. Over and over again we see that customs and rituals are put up in first place and love itself is forgotten. SO Christ had to rebel against the leaders of his time in order to show that truth and love transcend all ideas, concepts and false devotions. The irony of many of our spiritual and religious trips is that they have often brought more hate, division, and conflict between human beings. Our human hearts have not been warmed by most of these religious pathways and we are still loving and hating and judging each other the same as we did thousands of years ago. Devotion is a beautiful aspect of our beings and it does seem to those, who devote themselves to something higher then human love, that their lives are elevated, but even beings who followed and devoted themselves to the beauty of people like Saint Francis and Christ were able to torture and murder others in cold blood. And the normally peaceful and highly spiritual Hindus turned to savage maniacs when they gained independence from the British and were freed to face their own countrymen who were devoted to a different faith.
The Marriage of Souls offers us a return to a state of heaven that was enjoyed by Adam and Eve before their fall; it is a state of union that was 'shared together' by them. The essence of this entire work is found in this togetherness, in discovering how humans separate from each other and healing this split. Beings who have lived beyond the walls of separation know of this union and deep pure love that binds souls together as one. Eventually we need to see how our ideas and concepts and notions of holiness and spirituality separate being from being and cause pain, suffering and conflict even in our close relationships with others. Through this kind of work and effort we will find a heaven that can be shared. Instead of concentrating so obsessively with our individual minds and selfish selves we work to enter heaven together. The Marriage of Souls offers a nuclear way of relating to each other so we go beyond our obsessions with self and move toward synthesis and oneness. It offers a magical merger between beings because we enter a space where "we" and "others" become one. Thus this path in its full fruition conquers the ego, transcends that painful separate space that destroys us slowly with pain and disease. So in this spirit this book can be seen as a rebellion of sorts and you will even find and entirely new vision and representation of Jesus reaching across thousands of years: but this time he is not alone and sitting on top of a great hierarchy. He comes this time holding the hand of his companion, a beautiful lady and being named Mary Magdalene. They come together and so does their love. They come together to remind us that love can be shared and that marriage and love can work to bring a mutual experience of heaven. Perhaps the first coming was really the love they found with each other. Perhaps they had reentered the garden that Adam and Eve left. Pure love is a mighty vision and it is we who must find it again. We must return but what The Marriage of Souls is saying is that we must do that with others, not alone. Can you imagine being in heaven alone? Yes we can find inner peace and a place of pure consciousness and just be with ourselves. But is this how we would choose to spend the rest of eternity? Would we not want to share these qualities and experiences with others? The real question though is: are we ready to accept the challenge of doing so?
feeding each other, ever part of one life. This interconnection in perfect union strengthens our tendency to be unselfish. The Marriage of Souls is about creating heaven on earth together. Our aloneness is healed, and our conflicts in life resolved when we can find a way to fully share our beings, or make our feelings common with others. Communicare (the root word of communication) means to make common, to share in common with, and the way we make ourselves common with others is in the deep and meaningful fires of authentic and creative communication. The Marriage of Souls shares two main pathways for the creation of oneness in our deepest and most intimate relationships, communication and sexuality, yet communication is the pathway that is universal and applicable to all our relationships. With the power and understanding of creative communication our relationships can be deepened and life itself made more fulfilling.
electrical soul energy into our primary relationships. Without doubt in marriage and intimacy sexuality and communication become the testing ground of our souls. When we put both of these pathways to oneness together we can expect amazing things in our intimate life. Actually sexuality is a form of communication; sharing energies, beingness, and the space of the pure heart when sexuality is entered into with the appropriate spirit. It takes tremendous will (love) to overcome the separation that is so much the 'campo' of our egos and only by identifying with the greater harmony and potential that comes from a "feeling of oneness" can we find the strength and power to overcome the darkness of separation. IN this regard we see both sexuality and communication as our allies, as basic tools for the creation of forces that bind us into oneness because if the binding forces are not as strong as the ego forces that constantly threaten us with separation, we will fall into the dark night where love has no form. So in essence The Marriage of Souls is about growing into oneness together. And as you will see in the chapters on digital life and virtual relationships, even our virtual lives can become instruments in our search for love and the radiating light of the open heart.
personal and even romantic love with that kind of religious and spiritual fire that leads us to the ultimate truth about ourselves and reality. Because love is an awareness of being, especially the vulnerability of being the love we find in The Marriage of Souls leads us into an ever deeper contact with our own being. Before plunging into this work, a note to those who have found love somewhere in their heart for a divine being in human form. Any spark of love is to be valued yet the challenge at each and every moment is to find more love and devotion for the divine within and the divine that manifests around us in humans which life sends to us to relate to on the deepest levels of being. To worship a Christ and not to recognize that spirit when it sits at our own table to eat is an example of how worship destroys love through separation. It is human to constantly and unconsciously separate from that which we seek and to be totally unconscious to that process. What we often believe to be love is really the mind worshiping an inner image or belief that we attach ourselves to that none of us 'mere mortals' can compete with. Certain kinds of images and beliefs trap consciousness into separate form and this successfully screens or filters out the universe of pure being through the process of comparison and judgment. When we open our heart we find ourselves recognizing the pure being in others. When we can love those who are most close and dear with the same love and passion we might reserve for our divine idols, we know we are approaching the love of The Marriage of Souls. Whatever it is within that we have found, whatever beauty, faith and devotion, must be found again through feelings and experiences with the most intimate souls in our life.
