Of course, in both Western and Eastern societies the majority of people are affiliated with a religion and many are content with that association; for many it adds meaning and a spiritual element to their lives, even if only in a very limited way. And I do not deny that many present-day Christians are caring and peaceful people who identify particularly with Jesus' message of love. This is the true core of the original Christianity that I fully support. What I am highlighting in Unplugged is my personal experience in which orthodox religious teachings - that differ greatly from Jesus' message of love - have had harmful consequences, that I have suffered from for much of my life. I wish to bring this negative effect of religious indoctrination out into the open, and to help others who have suffered in the same way.

I will be doing this emotional and spiritual purging in front of you, as suggested by my guidance, to provide a vivid example of a way out of any abuse history through writing, sharing and open expression. I am a strong proponent of journaling as a method of cleansing one's soul and getting in touch with the deeper meaning of one's life. I have also discovered that journaling connects me with my Source, something my childhood religion deliberately obstructed while it was busy brainwashing me into its perverted view of the world.

If you suspect you were a victim of childhood religious abuse you may find comfort here in this ongoing discourse: a place to rest, be affirmed and have your abuse feelings validated. I am taking dead aim at the Roman Catholic Church because they were my abusers. Your religious background may be different, but your heart will know whether these words have value for your efforts to heal yourself and be free of their well orchestrated psychological tyranny.

It may seem hard to believe, in this day and age, that sacred cows still exist and we hesitate to take them on. This, despite the mounting evidence that religions in particular are complicit in acts of violence, murder and sexual abuse including the physical, emotional and spiritual abuse of children. Hard to believe, but the facts, both current and historical tell the whole story. In this series I am not concerned about historical facts so much as I am focussed on "experience." Your experience, my experience and that of everyone adversely affected by their native religion is what I aim to elucidate.

The only way we victims of Religious Abuse can heal is to be focussed on our feelings of pain, loss and abandonment and how each of these arose as a result of religious abuse. Permission to feel and to express those feelings in a safe manner becomes our path to healing. If such an approach can help sexual, physical and emotional abuse victims, then it will most certainly help us heal the toxic effects of religious abuse.

In order to do this we have to slay a couple of their main weapons at the outset. One of their claims will fall along the following lines: "They, the religious representatives of any particular religion, did it for our own good," or "They were called by God to do His work," or "How could you challenge me, I work for God after all." The second argument they may profer will be taken from the reactionaries of the 80s and 90s who were being confronted for the perversions they inflicted on their children. One set of parents invented what has become known as "false memory syndrome." What a nice ring, don't you think? Well, there is no such category in the manual of mental illnesses and personality disorders that psychologists and psychiatrists regularly address. But the phrase has entered the jargon associated with abuse. Religious leaders already know that if you repeat a lie often enough, it will become regarded as a truth by some elements of the population.

Don't be fooled! What you remember and feel has a basis in reality. Feelings are not something that can be invented. They come as a reaction to our daily intercourse with family, friends and yes, abusers.

These people do not work for God, they work for own own pathetic ego and the egos of individuals who set up those religious mechanisms to control individuals beginning with their childhood. They are the perpetrators of this poison you and I are about to get rid of.

The stage is now set. Let us get on with the work of ridding our bodies and spirits of this poison these organizations and their faithful zealots infected us with.

"You, our former abusers, are welcome to join us, if you wish to undertake your own healing. But your excuses, your feeble attempts to return culpability to your victims will not be tolerated. If you think you have a case, then start your own blog. This service is for healing only."

Now is the Time!

I was so inspired by this video I was moved to tears. The very fact that he was so eloquent, so precise, so kind and yet so fiery touched me deeply. As a former victim of Relgious Abuse I felt validated, I felt I had a voice, I felt someone important was standing up for me. I realize that the pain this touched inside was from the child in me, and that's the part of me that benefitted the most.

Those side shots of the Bishop at the table and the nun in the audience were provocative. She in particular showed that pasty smile that comes from someone who is well guarded and pretending to be nice in the face of the onslaught Mr Fry delivered.

The church will of course have its handy retorts such as "those are the voices of the devil" and an equally pathetic set of rationalizations to comfort them during these trying times. It does not seem to register, at least on those two pasty faces, that they are culpable, that they have sinned and that their religion is a sham.

They will go down with the ship, hanging on to those rationalizations and 2 thousand years of psychological indoctrination hoping to be redeemed and well received on the other side. Those two in particular showed clearly the Trance state one has to be part of in order to hang onto that litany of lies that forms the foundation of their Wolf in Sheep's clothing.

Mr Fry was a true gentleman, in a way only the English can muster at great moments in history. This video captured one of those moments which is now indelibly burnt into my psyche having delivered the most liberating embrace to my abused inner child in decades of therapeutic and personal growth work.

I am eternally grateful, and I will offer what I have to those who need it.

Introduction to the Religious Abuse Recovery Program

We are going to take you on a journey into the Self. We are going to show you the holiness of Your Soul, your True Divinity and your inner nature as a son and daughter of God. You don’t have to believe anything we say. Just observe, listen and pay attention to what you feel as this process moves along.

Get ready to use your journals as soon as each session is complete, so you can record everything that came up for you during each lesson.

• What you saw.
• What you heard.
• What you learned.
• What surprised you.
• What caused you to open up.

You have been lied to for a so long that you have little or no concept about your inner being, which is, your God nature. This was stolen from you as part of your religion’s indoctrination process. All of us, who were abused by our religions and had to travel this recovery path, experienced the same type of reactions as you will. We could not believe the litany of lies that were being revealed to us through the early parts of our recovery. Like you, we were stuck in the belief that we were wrong.

The conditioning we all received at the hands of our religion of origin was so deeply ingrained in us, it obscured everything about us that was true:

• Our Divinity.
• Our Graciousness.
• Our Love of Life.
• Our Sacred Contract with the Divine.
• Our Genuine Love for Ourselves and Our Fellow Man.

The Catholic Religion, which spawned numerous Christian sects, always has been and remains to this day, a corrupt organization. More than that, the Catholic Religion is a psychologically and spiritually empty organization that has no relationship to the Godhead whatsoever.

What constitute the upper echelons of this corrupt organization are egos, male egos to be precise. Although a good proportion of female adherents are present and active as nuns, the male ego remains the dominant force, and the female organizations are subservient to those entities.

There is no truth left anywhere in this destructive force called the Catholic Church. It has sinned against humanity for thousands of years and has never changed its ways of manipulation and control. This is what you are up against as a singular individual trying to deal with your Religious Abuse experiences, the very same abuses that the church continues to vigorously deny, even when they are convicted of such abuses in a court of law.

Seems daunting, doesn’t it?

Well, not so much anymore. “The truth will out” is an old saying worth repeating here. You cannot bury the truth, try as they have. Sooner or later, it will reemerge and all their efforts at covering it up will have been for naught. All these religious organizations are buying themselves a little extra time, before the full force of an emerging world reaction comes to a head and buries them forever.

You, as a victim of Religious Abuse, have a shared legacy with thousands upon thousands of individuals scattered around the world. They may look different and speak a different language, but at their core, they know the suffering of religious abuse as intimately as you do. They and you have all been harmed by the same weapon, the ludicrous lies and false claims of a patently corrupt religios organization. We could easily say blasphemous, because this church has yet to speak the truth on any matter. And you’ve seen that for yourself as they rabidly denied, tried to minimize or blamed you what was done to you.

The Catholic Church wants to maintain a hold on what it purports to be a solid foundation, the Word of God. The fact is they co-opted Jesus Christ into their system and turned him into a mythical figure so they could claim authenticity by being associated with one of the great prophets of the human race. They turned the man Jesus, into a Saint before our very eyes. They deemed him born of a virgin to further elevate his stature, and theirs in the bargain. None of their claims are true. They made all this up. They started their religion with a slate of lies and that remains their foundation and modus operandi to this very day. They misappropriated all Jesus’ teachings so they could claim the brand for themselves, and then took those teachings and contaminated them with their litany of false claims.

They also misappropriated the recordings of Jesus’ disciples who were accurately documenting his teachings and corrupted these into facts that supported their claims of being God’s only true religion. They overthrew the truths contained in the Old Testament and fabricated a New Testament where Jesus instantaneously became a God, who was born from a Virgin and was above humankind. Not true!

Jesus, by the Catholic Church’s accounts was unmarried and simply a traveling teacher. Again, not true. There is plenty of documentation available right now that clearly shows Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene, they had children together, and the wedding where he allegedly turned water into wine, and multiplied the bread and fishes, was theirs. This is just another truth that the church has covered up and denied over the years. None of their claims can be reconciled with the truth. Their versions of the truth are consistently being revealed as complete fabrications.

Simply put, the Roman Catholic Church hijacked Jesus Christ, the same man the Roman authorities murdered on the cross, and turned him into an icon for their new religion. These are the beginnings of the Christian Religion that abused you as a child.

How do you feel about that?

Given the Catholic Church’s history of lies, deceits and theft of others’ achievements, is it any wonder that they became the abusers we know today?

The current Pope is just another example of a stultified leader perpetuating the entrenchment of this religion’s black and white theology. He knows nothing of God personally. He knows only the business of managing a large Religious Enterprise that needs a steady stream of recruits and a product to draw them in with. He and his co-conspirators have superimposed their authority onto the piety and good deeds of a man who would have nothing to do with this organization today. This has been the claim of every Pope and Religious Authority throughout history, including all those Popes who sanctioned the murder of so-called heathens over the past 1500 years.

The current Pope is not behind the mass murders perpetrated by his predecessors, simply because he would be jailed today for this type of religious genocide. But he is at the head of an organization that denies all these atrocities and denies its responsibilities to the multiple victims of religious abuse around the world today. The church would rather pay you off than admit their complicity in any of these abuse scenarios. They are in a bad situation now. They can no longer keep up with the revelations of abuse by the innumerable victims who have suffered at the hands of their clergy. The emperor has no clothes. It is time for all of us to see them for what we know them to be – Abusers!

This Pope, like all others before him, is part of the cover up of the true origins of their church. And he is part of the cover up that aims to keep buried the truth about residential schools and the day to day activities of monks, nuns, priests, bishops and cardinals. He is aware of it all, because he has to be on top of these matters to keep the scam going. This makes him a criminal like all of his predecessors.

This is the true status of the Roman Catholic Religion. There are hundreds, if not thousands of books on the subject of their lies and treachery and a simple Google of “Religion in Decline” will reveal these references in the form of books, articles, videos and podcasts. Most of these are scholarly works whose research was conducted by highly regarded and trustworthy sources in the intellectual community. Very few individuals with higher education will have anything to do with this religion in particular.

We will list some of these titles in our resources section at the website. Many of these we will have read. But a larger number will come as references from people just like you, who are now engaged in uncovering the truth as part of their personal healing journey.

This is simply a beginning. However, be advised, that just knowing about these truths will not heal your injured soul. We have therapeutic practices for you to engage in that will address the very real consequences of your abuse experiences, the very experiences that taught you to hate and not trust yourself.

Building a Church by Taking Prisoners
You do not have to believe that the Roman Catholic Religion is a perverse and highly dysfunctional organization in order to heal your abuse effects. If you still value the church in some fashion, let no one take that away from you. But to heal your wounds you must be willing to look at the facts. The Catholic Church has established its own form of the Stockholm Syndrome and has wielded this hammer for centuries.

It is well understood, psychologically speaking, how effective the threat of death and/or on-going captivity can cause a person to see their captors as angry humans who are simply misunderstood. Complying with your captors, who have weapons and strategies that are meant to harm and intimidate, is simply a method of staying alive, or at least, delaying the worst. Becoming the psychological prisoner of such an organization can be seen as a highly likely outcome.

We, the victims of childhood religious abuse, learned to comply and curry favor from our captors. What else were we to do? We tried to please our Masters by giving them what they wanted, by acknowledging and validating their condemnations of us in order to survive. This is the case for every abuse victim and victims of terror tactics in general. Just play along, it will be less painful that way. That’s the power of indoctrination, intimidation and threats of hell and eternal damnation. Children will naturally comply, out of fear, never out of belief.

Professional torturers know these tactics all too well!

So there we have a religious organization that is patently false on every avenue that matters. False claims, false practices, false conclusions and a completely false mission. The world, including you and I, does not need the Catholic religion to bring us to God. In fact, quite the opposite, we need to free ourselves of their tyranny so we can truly connect with the God in our hearts. In other words, the further you move away from this religion at least, the closer you come to the God within.

The Catholic Church is a barrier to our true God Source:

This is an unimpeachable statement, proven to me through over 4 decades of professional training, spiritual searching and working with people who had been psychologically bludgeoned by their religious faith. I can quote this as fact. My experiences in the therapy setting are common to most psychologists who work with people through a secular approach. No religious mumbo jumbo! No double speak! No undercurrents to be siphoned through! Just pure simple fact: organized religion is our main obstacle to connecting with God.

The further we move away from religion, the closer we come to our own inner Divinity. And in that setting, religion has no authority whatsoever.

We, you and I, are God’s representatives on this planet. We are God’s sons and daughters and we were all created perfect. Only religion, with its personal business agenda and its rabid desire to control, could corrupt God’s holy creations. It is our destiny to be perfect representatives of the Godhead and to care for each other and our planet in the most loving fashion.

Religion is about Fear!

God is about Love!

Journey to the Past
We are going to take you on a journey into the past, back to when Jesus Christ walked the Earth.

If you recall some of the stories where he first appeared on the scene you may remember the tale of his arrival in Jerusalem on the back of a Donkey.

Recent research has documented the fact that Jesus knew all too well how the arrival of the Messiah was to proceed. He had studied the scriptures from the Old Testament and was well prepared to deliver himself as per its promises.

By being accurate, to a T, with the prevailing predictions of the day, Jesus made his presence known with the full pageantry of an expected Messiah. He knew what his role was to be in that incarnation and he played it out flawlessly.

This was no accident. He was simply living up to the Press of the time.

Why this is important may shatter your thoughts on whom and what Jesus Christ was. The Jesus of Faith we’ve had crammed down our throats over the years was simply Public Relations fiction created by the Catholic Church.

The Jesus of Reality was a man on a mission, a man with a clear life purpose, one that he had orchestrated with the Father, his Higher Self, before incarnating onto the Earth.

Now, before you start shouting “hey wait a minute, that’s what we’ve been taught” let me take this a bit further.

You and I, that is all of us, have had similar meetings with our Higher Self before incarnating. We too, in collaboration with our Higher Self, laid out a plan that we agreed to as our life purpose this time around.

In other words, Jesus Christ’s life journey was laid out with his avid participation, in the same manner as it was for all of us who chose to take on a particular life mission. There are no exceptions.

So how it is that Jesus Christ’s life becomes a magnet for dysfunctional religious organizations that are looking for ways to control the masses? Well, why are we still hearing reports about Elvis working in a convenience store, somewhere in North America?

The answer is, because Jesus drew such strong attention (read Rock Star attention), that he became a lightning rod for goodness whether you believed it or not. And since the masses were so taken with him, why not capitalize on that popularity and turn him into a product, which is what the Roman Catholic Church did. Now they could promote their brand of religion as based on Christ’s teachings which they could easily subvert to meet their true agenda, which was to save the Roman Empire. In so doing, they kept themselves installed as leaders and beneficiaries of the population’s malleable vulnerabilities.

The life and death of Jesus Christ was a once in a lifetime business opportunity and those who saw the benefit of turning the empire into a religion jumped all over it. They could immediately capitalize on Jesus’ enormous appeal, put some awe inspiring spin on what were originally true stories, and an ordinary religion, based on his life, was turned into a viable brand.

It took 300 years to finally settle the matter, because it wasn’t until the Council at Nicea that the New Testament writings were set in stone. 1700 years of repeating that story has morphed into the Roman Catholic’s claim that the New Testament is truly the Word of God. If you repeat a lie often enough and long enough it becomes ingrained in the culture as some indisputable fact. This leaves only a very few persistent researchers to try and set the record straight, by which time the masses have lost interest. They’ve already swallowed the lie. Politicians as well as religious authorities rely on such tactics to this day.

So effective has this disinformation been that we still today close our eyes to the atrocities committed by the Catholic Church in the form of murder through burning at the stake of so-called heathens. Would a loving God kill off his or her creations? That’s what the Catholic Church did. It killed off the competition. But no one pays attention to these facts anymore. The Catholic Church has orchestrated another very successful cover up so they can continue to claim the position of unchallengeable authority as God’s truest representatives. This is the history of your abuser.

Why Do We Share this With You?
Because your self-doubts are based on the premise that the church has to be right, even when they make you wrong, as they so readily continue to do. They are the church after all, and the church, until recently, has been considered infallible, a claim they always cling to and make every effort to perpetuate.

What we are showing you here is the truth of the matter. The Roman Catholic Religion was created as an audacious enterprise that aimed to capitalize on the popularity of a True Prophet, the very same prophet that they murdered in the first place. How’s that for audacity?

Jesus Christ was truthfully a good man, who married, had children and delivered an important and positive message to the world. He told us, in a great variety of ways, that we were all Gods incarnate on this earth, and that through our Hearts could we come to know that reality.

Where in the Catholic Church’s teachings is any of this?

Is it beside their invention of Original Sin? No, not there.

Is it beside their invention of the Devil? No, not there either.

Is it alongside their invention of Purgatory? No, not there.

Nowhere in the church’s teachings are such references made. All we get from them is what they made up.

What we have today are Religious Zombies, still trying to promote their perverted and corrupt versions of the truth. The Jesus of Faith, that did not die for our sins by the way, is pure fiction, an invention of the Catholic Church to support its claims of religious authority. When an abuse victim finally realizes that the parents who abused him or her were psychologically incompetent people, they stop believing that they were the problem with all the abuse they suffered. They turn this misguided belief on its head and put the blame where it belongs, on the shoulders of their failed parental figures. As religious abuse victims, we have to do the same. We have to put responsibility for our abuses back onto them, the religious authorities who abused us, exactly where responsibility for these abuses belong.

Jesus the man was like you and I, only spiritually advanced and able to see beyond the parameters of physical existence. He was here to remind us that we are all divine.

The Catholic Church told us we were sloths.

Jesus said “Greater things than these shall ye do” referring to the miracles attributed to him.

The Catholic Church says you are broken, defective and sinful, but we can repair you with our methods of indoctrination.

Jesus said that God is Love. Love thy neighbor as yourself. Be kind and treat people with respect.

The Catholic Church says “Trust no one but us. Only We have the truth.”

Jesus exemplified “To Thine Own Self be True” and “Trust Your Heart”, for there you will find the truth and the God of all Nations.

The Catholic Church says “We are the way. Trust no one but us, not even your selves.

And that summarizes one of the greatest Crimes Against Humanity, to convince every one of us that we are flawed. According to this claim, God screwed up, and only they, the Catholic Religion, can save us.

The Catholic Church is not aligned with God. In fact, it lies in opposition to God. It denies! It berates! It outright rejects everything God stands for. Then it elevates itself as the true source of sanctity and relevance. The fact is, this church stands in total opposition to the God it claims to represent and emulate.

You and I are victims of these abusers. We are not their sole victims. We are one of millions of victims, that are part of a worldwide population.

Religious Abuse is Real
We were all lied to. We were abused. Our abuses were real. We suffered terribly at their hands. And our suffering was instigated by a flawed and morally corrupt organization that exists only to advance its own ends.

The Catholic Church has hijacked our natural desire and propensity to connect with the Godhead. They have blocked this natural inclination by first subverting that desire and turning it into sin, then by installing themselves as intermediaries between us and God. Then they created a bunch of ludicrous hoops for us to jump through so that we could become good enough by their standards, which were never achievable.

What Do We Do Now?
We walk around them and go directly to Source. You do not need the Catholic Church in your life. You are already perfect in His eyes and He has given us the most simple of tools to connect with Him. This tool is our Heart and Feeling Centre. This is our point of connection. In order to make it work we have to learn to trust ourselves, as was the original intent. Once we do that, we can connect to Source and know God intimately as has always been the plan.

The damage done to you is that you’ve been robbed of developing faith in your essential value. You’ve been seriously poisoned by this religion’s teachings and you’ve lost sight of your native design. You have been led astray and you have been beaten, castigated, shamed and diminished for ever doubting their power and authority.

You don’t need them anymore! They are the ones who need you.

God doesn’t need them. God wants you.

This program is a clear path back to your uncorrupted native state. You are God in a body and, as soon as you learn to trust yourself again, you will know it to be true in your Heart. After all, hasn’t it been your Heart telling you all along that you are a Victim of Religious Abuse? With that information alone, you should realize that your Heart is correct and worth listening. You have “felt” what was done to you was wrong, and you were right all along. Who do you want to trust now?

That is the beginning of our program. You are not alone and you can be healed of all the ill effects perpetrated on you by that vicious and corrupt organization called the Roman Catholic Church.

In a few moments, you can to your journals and start writing this all out. Begin to forge a bond with your Inner Self, your Inspiration and Guidance, and start clearing away all the debris, all the ill feelings that have been piling up in your heart since the beginning of this lifetime and your first exposure to that venomous church. What you are doing now is preparing a place for God to arrive. When all the bile and slime delivered to you by that religion is finally cleared away, there will be plenty of room to fill your heart with Love.

Remember, God is Love.

Religion is Fear.

Your old religion will want to scream at you that this recovery program is the work of the devil. Hopefully you won’t succumb to another round of their vicious indoctrination methods. Just know this. All egos are petty despots. That includes the little ego that judges you within your own body framework as well as the Giant Ego that constitutes the Catholic Church.

You will see through their nonsense. Your pain brought you to this program because there is certainly no solace to be had at the hands of your captors. Your pain is telling you that what was done to you was very real and very wrong. Your religion was abusive and harmful. Those are the facts. Whenever someone tries to tell you different, check with your Heart and Feeling Centre. It is from here that you were told about your abuse and it is from here that you will always receive the truth. “The Kingdom is Within” – Jesus Christ.

Religion is Fear.

God is Love.

Make your commitment here. Say a final “No” to all their abuses and prepare to heal your wounds. Once you choose Your Path of Healing, you will unleash all the power of the Universe into delivering to you every resource you may need to heal the crippling effects of your native religion. These resources will begin landing in your lap. Books will show up. Courses will be advertised. Multiple choices for your healing and recovery will become available. Most importantly, your freedom awaits you, as your God Self. And you will get back to the business of growing which is what we were all sent here for.

The God of Love is about growth, expansion and the joy of creation.
