Start your healing
through - Meditation:
Find a quiet place. Light a candle. Sit in a comfortable chair with an upright back. Relax, letting your eyes rest gently on the candle flame. If you haven't a candle pick another object to rest your eyes on. Breathe slowly. Let your awareness settle on your heart, at the hollow centre of your chest. Let your breath slow naturally as much as possible. Silently count from 1 - 30 with each outbreath. Do this for 5 mins. Emerge from the meditation slowly. Proceed with the exploration straight away.
Your empowering affirmation - "I start my healing"
Your form of expression - Spontaneous movement and sound
To start your healing undertake the meditation method above. In the
meditation repeat the affirmation, "I start my healing."
Once your meditation is complete keep your awareness centred in your
heart. Stand, breathing naturally. Let your breath gradually deepen
and quicken. As you do start to swing your arms and, if you can, rise
and fall from heel to toe. Gradually let your whole body move to the
rythms of your deep fast breathing. Begin to make sounds on the out
breath. Let these sounds grow louder. Don't analyse or think about
what is happening. Keep your awareness centred on your heart. If you
want to go further see if you can lose control completely, letting
whatever pain is inside emerge and be fully expressed in ways that
feel natural. Afterwards lie on the couch or the floor and cover yourself
with a blanket. Send yourself soothing, loving feelings. Notice any
feelings or memories that emerge from your past.
You can use this technique to help your inner calling, mentor and
guide assist you with the release of any buried source of pain. You
can choose to do this spontaneous movement and sound once a day as
a healing discipline, or if you prefer do the movement when you feel
the need for pain release. If you find it difficult to really let
go in the movement, try practicing the method when you feel there
is a lot of inner pain that wants to come out - for example at a time
when you have just been rejected and are feeling hurt.
