Lesson #1: How Erroneous Beliefs Become Patterns of Thought
Sally, as she was affectionately called by her mother even though her birth name was something else entirely, noticed that she had acquired a pattern of thought which automatically triggered an emotion of anger no matter how hard she tried to control it.  It seemed to have a life and a will of its own. Sally "couldn't help herself" once she was exposed to an awareness of someone, sometimes herself, usually others, doing or saying something illogical, unsafe or clumsy.  Her automatic emotional response was first to feel anger, either briefly or intensely, and then to react with blame or ridicule.

While examining the source of this pattern, as she was taught to do in her Christ Consciousness classes, Sally remembered that whenever she was a child and did something her mother deemed as "wrong", her mother would respond the same way, either by blaming or saying some ridiculing remark that made Sally feel stupid.  Sally also received similar treatment at school, either from her teachers or by her peers.  The perception Sally formed from these experiences was, "Whenever I do something that is wrong, illogical, unsafe or clumsy, I am stupid."  Because the reaction of her "life teachers" (her mother, peers and school teachers) was to blame or ridicule, Sally learned to feel guilty and ashamed about any of her behavior that elicited that type of reaction from them.  Through repetition, an automatic pattern of thought was formed that has haunted Sally throughout her life.  Presently, as a middle-aged woman, she seemingly can't control responding with blame or ridicule whenever someone does something illogical, unsafe or clumsy.

Mary's Teaching, Lesson #1, Step 1

Step 1: The Role Acknowledgement Plays In Healing
The "baby boom generation" has made much progress in bringing emotional wounds "out of the closet", as you humans sometimes say, into the open where it is now OK to examine them openly, with other humans.  This is a healthy step forward in evolution.  However, don't stop there.  If you do, you only get stuck in your wounds.  This keeps you a victim of them, and of those whom you believe were their cause.  Go to the next step in evolution, by acknowledging your own masterful creation of those wounds.  This is what is meant by the term, "taking responsibility for creating your reality". Many people have erroneously believed that "taking responsibility" really means "taking the blame".  No, Dear Ones, you have been misled.  Taking responsibility truly means acknowledging your power, acknowledging that you have the power to appropriately respond in any particular situation.  See the difference?  If you do, and you accept this Truth, you have just changed your life.

If #4 of the Ultimate Truths of Reality is true, and it is, then YOU must be the source of your own wounds.  When you acknowledge being the creator of them, you put the power to heal, or to change them, in your own hands.  Whatever you create, you can recreate differently, ONLY IF YOU ACKNOWLEDGE YOURSELF AS THE CREATOR of the 'whatever'.  Whenever you deny being the creator of a situation, you also deny your power to change it, and instead, create yourself as a victim.

With this new awareness, Sally acknowledged herself as the creator of her unwanted pattern.  In Step 2 we will examine how Sally can actually change her long held pattern of thought.

Mary's Teaching, Lesson #1, Step 2

Step 2: How One Alters Long-Held Patterns of Thought: The Role of Changing Perception
Sally decides to change her life, so she chooses a different perception of the original event that is causing her relationship problems.   Her new perception is, "I did not do anything wrong.   I merely did it differently than mother would have chosen.   Doing things differently offers me an alternative experience from hers. I can learn from her experience merely by listening to her tell of it.   I do not need to live it her way to learn what she has to teach me.   I have the option of choosing another way of responding to similar criteria.   This is what makes me unique, rather than a cookie cutter version of my mother."

As Sally practices thinking of herself as unique rather than as stupid, she begins to respond to others as seeing what they do as unique also.   In living this new perception, Sally is learning about the lesson of Individuality which was the gift her mother was unknowingly offering her all along.   When the lesson was misunderstood, erroneous beliefs were formed around it; and a life of striving to be "like everyone else" was lived instead.   But even that has its higher purpose.   Often humans teach themselves spiritual lessons by experiencing the opposite of what they want to learn.  In this example, Sally was teaching herself about the value of Individuality while trying to live, and teach, a life of sameness, as she strived to get everyone in her close reality to think and act as she did.

Those who have a fear of "what other people will think" are in the process of learning this same lesson, the value of Individuality.   They are, however, choosing to experience it through fear of judgment rather than anger, as Sally expressed.   Both methods involve self judgment, and the solution is the same: Change perception by selecting to live life differently while honoring your uniqueness instead of judging it.

Mary's Teaching, Lesson #2

Lesson #2: Fear: What You Deny Is What You Fear; What You Fear Is What You Judge
When you judge something as negative or evil, you will automatically respond with fear (refer to Ultimate Truths of Reality #13).   You may say, "Oh, I wouldn't attract something like THAT into my life.   I'm not going to give it any energy by thinking about it."   This is a response of denial.   What you aren't understanding is that it is your vibration that is the attracting force rather than your words.

Vibration is composed of two ingredients: thought and emotion.   When you think a judgmental thought and couple it with fear (the emotion), you create a very powerful attracting force.   It is Our observation that this is the energy most of you use most of the time to create your reality.   It is also why so many of your creations aren't what you prefer.   You are attracting based on the vibration of FEAR, and then denying that you are in FEAR.   Denial only suppresses the emotion.   It does not eliminate it.   When you say, "I'm not going to give it any energy by thinking about it", be aware that you are in that moment giving IT energy and attracting IT into your life, through your vibration of fear, which comes from judgment.   Your state of denial only keeps you from feeling the fear. It does not stop the attraction.   If you fear something often enough, long enough, you will eventually attract it into your life.   This is a guarantee because it follows God's Law of Attraction (Law of Cause and Effect).

Here is an example of creating through fear.   This type of thinking, then denying, is the Cause behind most (not all) cases of cancer.   There is so much FEAR generated around this one disease via an ongoing, very vigorous marketing campaign, that it manifests in physical life on a daily basis simply because of the process of vibration=attraction and not, as others would have you believe, because of genetic history, environment, food, water, air, etc.   It manifests only in response to one's vibration of FEAR of it.   Look around you.   Start becoming aware of the massive advertising your Society does to promote FEAR of CANCER under the guise of fighting cancer.   Those marketing cancer know that whatever you resist, you create through the Law of Attraction.   Even your Society's drives to raise money donations "for the cause of cancer" are promoting cancer.   They do this by triggering FEAR which will actually result in increasing the rate of cancer.   When people respond to these campaigns by donating money to them, they are actually assisting the rate increase.   The motivation behind the donation, in many cases, is denial. The donation helps one cover up their own fear of cancer so that they won't have to feel it.

Fear has some higher purposes.   For one thing, it can warn you when your physical body is in immediate danger, i. e. move off the track, there's a train coming! Fear is also a teacher.   It shows one where they are out of touch with their own power and erroneously believing that someone, or something, has authority, or control, over certain areas of their life.   We will examine this erroneous belief in more depth during a later lesson.

Mary's Teaching, Lesson #3

Lesson #3: The Source of Guilt and judgment
Fear, hatred and all negative feelings are the result of resistance to love.   This resistance is spawned by guilt.   Guilt comes from the erroneous belief that we are separate from God and that we are so bad, so unworthy, that God "kicked us out of heaven".   Nothing could be further from the Truth.

If God is All That Is, or ever was (Ultimate Truth of Reality #1), how is it possible for anyone or anything to be separate?   In Truth, it is not.   Only the illusion of this is possible.   In order to maintain this illusion you must keep the erroneous belief of separation alive.   But with that erroneous belief comes the resulting guilt.   As long as you hold onto the guilt, you keep yourself living in the illusion of being separate from God and all of God's aspects.

How do you let go of your guilt, all of it, in its many forms?   You surrender your guilt to God.   The concept of surrender brings with it its own set of negative emotions, i.e. doubts, fear, worry, suspicion, etc.   This is because in your culture you have been taught (mistaught) that surrender means such things as "To yield to the power of another; to give up under compulsion; to relinquish; submission; capitulation" (Webster's Dictionary).   As long as these erroneous beliefs are in place, your Ego will resist any attempt of surrendering, thus keeping you locked in the illusion of separation and its resulting guilt.

The true definition of surrender is: giving over all your guilt to God.

This does not require submission.   It involves TRUST.   Surrender is an act of turning over your guilt to your own Higher Power, regardless of what label you give that Power within.   It is a willingness to accept the Truth that........

The Separation never happened !!!

If you truly accept this one fact, you will have to let go of your guilt because there is no reason for it.   You aren't bad, you aren't unworthy and you weren't kicked out. You will KNOW that you are God merely focusing on your many facets, as a jeweler enjoys focusing on the various facets of a large and magnificent diamond.   All of the other facets may not yet know that they, too, are God and so will keep behaving as if they are not.

You may erroneously believe you already understand and accept this principle; however, unless you have become guilt and judgment free, you have not yet accepted this Truth even though your Ego may convince you that you have. The proof of this acceptance is in your behavior.

Once you genuinely ACCEPT this concept, there will be an energy shift inside of you and your own behavior will change.   You will see everyone and everything in a different light.  Your judgment will cease, because without guilt there is nothing to project.  You will be free.

Mary's Teaching, Lesson #4

Lesson #4: Remembering More Sacred Knowledge
People frequently ask us, "how do we trigger the remembering of more inner Knowledge?"  We respond, "just change your behavior patterns."  Next, they want to know what behavior patterns has to do with inner Knowledge.  We will tell you the connection and how, by consciously changing certain patterns, you can trigger more remembering from inside of yourself.

Humans compartmentalize much of their behavior into patterns.  This makes the performance of repeated patterns more efficient in the doing.  You don't have to consciously think about how to drive to work each day or what you put in your coffee.  You just do it.  These repetitious acts become unconscious habits and frees your conscious thinking brain to handle new incoming data, or to resolve problems.  On the surface, this segmenting of behavior appears very beneficial as it helps you to accomplish more tasks in any given period of time.  However, under the surface, this process is actually inhibiting your spiritual growth to some extent.

"How is this possible", you wonder?  The answer is, "by attachment to any of the behavior." Whenever you become emotionally attached to something being a specific way, tasting a certain way or to how something has to be done, not allowing for any changes, you limit yourselves and become prisoners of your own systems.  Each pattern of behavior you have is a reflection of the way you think, your consciousness.  If you refuse to open your mind to other ways of being or doing, your rigid thinking creates barriers to remembering more Sacred Knowledge.  If you won't let in new ideas of ways to change on the physical level, then, correspondingly, you won't let in the new ways of thinking that are contained within the Sacred Knowledge stored inside of you.  There is a direct correlation between your willingness to change and the amount and frequency of new internal data you receive, and insights you experience.  If you resist change in your behavior patterns, it is a reflection on a spiritual level of your resistance to changing.  You stunt your spiritual growth by continuing your resistance to change.  You erroneously believe that controlling your patterns helps you control your reality.

Suggested Exercise for becoming more aware and willing to change:

  1. Deliberately look for the patterns you have created that you are not willing to change right now.  Those are the ones you are attached to and limit your evolvement progress.
  2. Write them down as you become aware of them.  You might be surprised at how many there really are.
  3. Make a sincere intention, in words, to become open to altering any of these patterns that limit you in any way.
  4. Ask Spirit for assistance in this endeavor.
  5. Also intend, in words, that you become aware of Spirit's multiple opportunities offered to you of changes you can make in the behavior or systems in your life.  These suggestions from Spirit may arrive via advice from another human, an article you read in a magazine, an idea you hear on a recording that inspires a special feeling inside of you, your own thoughts or any number of ways Spirit utilizes to send you IT's mail.
  6. When you become aware of any of these Spirit suggestions, write them down next to the corresponding items you listed in #2 above, whether you actually are willing to take advantage of the opportunity to apply the change or not.  Doing this will help you become more aware, not only of the many ways you limit yourself, but will also increase your awareness of how many times Spirit offers you other choices, and how willing Spirit is to assist you in changing.
  7. Implement at least some of the suggestions for change.  Be or do some things differently.  As you carry out at least a few of the changes, you are signaling your own Higher Power that you are willing to alter your thinking and become ready to remember more Sacred Knowledge.  This opens neurological pathways through which that Knowledge may flow into your conscious awareness.

Whether you are consciously aware of it or in denial, the reason you are afraid to change is because you are innately afraid of being God, Who You Really Are.

Mini-Lessons

Lesson #1: Why Some People Are Born More Psychic or More Talented Than Others
From the perspective of the Higher Self, we live ONE continuous ongoing life; and when we change bodies, Higher Self views that the same way we look at changing clothes.  To the Higher Self our Earth experience is one life that began at the time of the Fall of the Axiatonal field (magnetic field) during the time of Atlantis, when we lost all memory and began our journey back to Knowing.

When our physical body dies (change clothes), we retain whatever Knowledge we've acquired during that lifetime and bring it forth into the next lifetime and the next, and so on.  We never really start over in learning each life as it may appear anymore than we have to go back to the first grade everytime we change our clothes.  This is why some are born knowing more than others, or having special abilities that others don't have, such as physical abilities or natural musical or artistic talent.  All that we are born with is based on what we have accumulated in our soul's development since the Fall of Atlantis.

Lesson #2: Creating Boundaries
When being counseled by others to create boundaries in your personal relationships, keep in mind that boundaries create separation.  One only creates boundaries when one feels insecure, unsafe.  The higher purpose of boundaries is for temporarily isolating oneself in order to focus on identifying and healing the fears that are causing the insecurity.  The difficulty occurs when one gets stuck behind the boundary by creating the illusion of safety and, thus, deny the fear that drove them there in the first place.  Fear cannot be healed in a state of denial.  It can only be surpressed, and then, only temporarily.

It is important to understand that when you create boundaries in your life, you are creating limitations and forfeiting your freedom and sovereignty.  In this state, you have become your own jailer.

Lesson #3: Creator and Creation Are The Same One Thing, The Same Energy
You are whatever you create.  Whatever you create is an extension of you and because it is an extension of you, you are responsible for it.

Example/Metaphor:  You bake a cake, you are the cake.  All the ingredients for baking the cake are available.  You choose which ingredients you will use out of the vast supply of choices in the sea of consciousness in which you are immersed.  As you blend your particular recipe of segments of God consciousness, you individualize them into your own unique creation, which is also you.  (See Ultimate Truths of Reality #20.)

Lesson #4: Using Will to Create Reality
The Will is the strongest faculty accessible to a human.  It can override beliefs and fears no matter how long they have been in place or how deeply they are attached.  Decision, followed by determination, is what activates Will.  Behavioral changes then follow suit.  To accomplish this level of change, you must also be willing to let go of the person you were in order to become the person you prefer to be.

Lesson#5: The Block To Abundance
Belief in limitation is a service-to-self path because one relies on self as Source.  When one is a servant of God, it is up to God (or the God aspect you are) to provide for your needs as your "employer".  This is something God always does because that is God's nature.  The difficulty arises when you hold a belief in limitation, and since your reality is created based on what you believe (Ultimate Truths of Reality #5), then what you manifest is various forms of limitation. God is always trying to get through to you with more abundance, but you block it by holding onto your erroneous belief.  We call this "standing on your own hose".

Do some introspection, searching for why you choose to believe in limitation when you would rather be abundant.  You will probably discover that you trust in yourself to provide for your needs more than you trust God to do so.  Quite often this leads to "living on a shoestring".  God doesn't do shoestrings.  God sends you the whole pair of shoes, but in order for them to fit, you have to be willing to let go of your belief in limitation and accept that you are an unlimited being, just like God.  (See Ultimate Truths of Reality #21.)  Meditate on it, and free yourself.

Lesson#6: The Path of Service To Others
The path of service to others is not a life of groveling nor putting your own needs last, for that is the path of the martyr.  It does include serving self, but as an effect and not as a cause.  The path of service to others is a path of humility.  True humility is an attitude of gratitude for being allowed to serve.  When you focus on evolving yourself so that you may be of greater service to others, and are grateful for the opportunity to be of service, then you are beginning to understand what a path of service to others truly means.
