Dear Ayal,

I am a very intuitive person... with almost psychic abilities. I am able to see what is going on inside of people, really sense their energy, and discuss with them what is going on in their lives. I have done some reading about Reiki and done some energy work, but have never been properly trained. The work I have done with people started out as fun and turned into something serious... but I don't know what has happened to me. My teeth have started hurting, my head feels "constipated", for lack of a better word, I have become very tired, lethargic, and depressed. I thought I was being affected with the season change but everything happened shortly after doing quite a few "energy readings" at a Halloween party. I feel that I have absorbed a bunch of other people's energy and can't rid my body of it. I have tried meditating and listening to some protection chanting... but lets face it, I don't know what I am doing and I don't know what I have done. I just want these feelings to stop and I want to be my old self. I pray this message conveys what is going on with me and that you can give me some sound help and advice.

Hi - working with energy is a much more complicated thing than most are aware of. More goes on than we know, and often just playing around with it when one hasn't been trained how to shield oneself CAN result in the "healer" getting very sick, sometimes deeply sick, long term if it's been going on a long time, or taking on, usually unconsciously, the energy of others. So, I invite you not to do it, unless you take it on professionally and get some training.

In the meantime, to clear your space, there are 3 things that show up for you to do:

1. Raise your hands above your head, and then bring them down the front/middle of your body, about 6 inches or so away, and when you reach the top of your thighs, say "CLEAR!" Do this 4 times a day for 3 days. It's a good thing to do, actually, every day from now on.

2. Bring your arms up to 90 degree angles, out to your sides at shoulder level, so your elbows are bent. Allow one thumb to be under the fingers of one hand, and the other thumb to be outside of the fingers. For one minute, alternate the position of the thumbs, having the outside thumb go under the fingers, and the inside thumb go out. Just keep doing that for 1 minute. While you are doing this, do the breath of fire, which is a kundalini purifying breath. To do this breath, breathe in and out very fast and strong, without pausing between inhale and exhale, with the emphasis on the exhale, like a small snort. Your diaphragm caves in as you exhale. Only do this breath for 30 seconds however, as it is very powerful. Then drink water. I'd do this exercise twice in a 2 day period of time.

3. Cut the cords to anyone you worked with. Read the article listed at the end of the home page on 'Cutting the Cords that Bind You' and follow instructions in it. Do this twice within a 2 day period.
